Chemical Synthesis

AC-TA (Tranexamic Acid) is a high-purity (≥99.0%), synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine, specifically engineered for advanced dermo-cosmetic applications. As a potent plasminogen activator (PA) inhibitor, AC-TA targets the root cause of hyperpigmentation by blocking the signaling crosstalk between keratinocytes and melanocytes.

Unlike traditional tyrosinase inhibitors, AC-TA excels in treating recalcitrant discoloration, such as UV-induced melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Its molecular structure (CAS No. 1197-18-8; Molecular Weight: 157.21) ensures excellent skin biocompatibility and a superior safety profile.

ADVANTAGES

1.Purity & Grade: Assayed at 99.0%–101.0%, ensuring zero heavy metal contamination and consistent batch-to-batch efficacy.

2.Thermal & Chemical Stability: Demonstrates remarkable structural integrity under high-temperature processing (up to 80°C) and remains stable across a wide pH range of 3.0 to 9.0.

3.Superior Water Solubility: Highly hydrophilic with a solubility of approximately 170g/L in water (25°C), eliminating the need for complex emulsification or aggressive solvents.

4.Synergistic Formulation Versatility: Acts as a performance booster when paired with AC-VCE (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid), Niacinamide, or Retinoids, significantly enhancing the MASI (Melasma Area and Severity Index) reduction rate.

5.Non-Photosensitive: Unlike Vitamin C or Hydroquinone, AC-TA does not degrade under UV exposure, allowing for safe and effective daytime application.

6.Safety: Suitable for sensitive skin and long-term treatment.

EFFICACIES

Inhibition of the Plasminogen/Plasmin Pathway:
AC-TA competitively inhibits the activation of plasminogen into plasmin. By reducing plasmin activity, it halts the release of Arachidonic Acid (AA) and Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2)—the key inflammatory triggers that stimulate melanocyte hyperactivity.

Targeted Melanin Regulation:
By downregulating the MITF (Microphthalmia-associated Transcription Factor) pathway, AC-TA effectively prevents the maturation of melanosomes and their subsequent transfer to the skin’s surface, resulting in a visible reduction of dark spots and uneven tone.

Anti-Inflammatory & Vascular Normalization:
Beyond whitening, AC-TA reduces the expression of VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor). This helps calm skin redness (erythema) and addresses the underlying vascular component often associated with chronic melasma and rosacea.

FAQ

Q1: What is the whitening mechanism of AC-TA?

A1: By inhibiting the fibrinogen/fibrinolytic pathway, blocking the release of arachidonic acid and prostaglandins from keratinocytes, reducing the activation signals of melanocytes, and treating the root cause of whitening.

Q2: Can AC-TA be combined with Vitamin C and Retinol?

A2: Synergistic Golden Triangle:

 Daytime: AC-TA (3%) +AC- VCE(5%) → antioxidant&anti-inflammatory

 Evening: AC-TA (3%) + Retinol (0.3%) → repair of photodamage
